日本桥是横跨道顿堀江的地方搭起的桥梁，江户时代幕府管理的政部桥梁。桥附近有码头是水陆两路的交通要地。从江户时代开始，临近大村庄的东西侧的东边天王寺村和西边的难波村，今宮村的各个部分对应的长村后都形成了贫民区， 1903年(明治36年)为举办第5届国内劝业博览会而整理完毕.。此后，古书店改头换面，第二次世界大战后东京的秋叶原，名古屋，大石城等，变成了一家电子商街，也被称作”东方秋叶原”。
